For the Woodside Decorators Showcase, I picked the most difficult room in the house and turned it into a swanky mens bar inspired by the prohibition era speakeasy. A before image shows the dilapidated condition of the cabinetry, counters, floors and flannel wallpaper. The cabinetry was stripped and given fresh coats of rich Ebony stain. I added texture to the floor with patterned sisal carpeting, the counter top made from a thick block of maple sports a hand hewn edge. The backs of cabinetry was mirrored to enlarge the room and add a reflective element. An antique bust on a custom water feature pedestal crowns the room.
